Pet Policies

Air France is one of those airlines that welcomes pets in the cabin. Passengers can carry 2 pets, pets must be 10 weeks older and combined weight should be less than 8kg. For some flights between Metropolitan France and French Guiana, the pet must be 15 weeks older. Air France does not allow pets in Business Class and Intercontinental flights. The fees to carry pets depend on flight destinations. Air France Cabins

La Premiere Class

Each seat emphasizes a 10.4″ touch screen individual screen with gaming and AVOD system. A privacy divider and auto message with a reading light are the main features of La Premiere Class. The passengers of La Premiere Class have personal storage drawers with noise-canceling headphones and laptop power ports. Premium Economy Class

The seats are 20% wider and 20% more legroom than the standard seats. All seats have a 130-degree recline with 102cm of pitch. Lumbar support is flexible and suitable for different body shapes. Passenger has access to the AVOD system in the latest generation 13.3-inch HD screen. The comfort kit is renewed every 6 months. Air France ensures the comfort of the passenger with a red feather pillow and a deep blue blanket. Each passenger will enjoy Wi-Fi onboard and two individual USB ports with a wide choice of entertainment.

Economy Class

The seats are comfortable with 79cm legroom. The airline offers a larger tray table with wide in size. Passengers have access to an 11.7-inch touchscreen with 1000 hours of entertainment. Economy seats are made with ergonomic foam with a 118-degree recline. All passengers can stay connected with the world by using Wi-Fi on flights.

What are the policies and procedures for Air France’s unaccompanied minor service?

Air France’s unaccompanied minor service is called Kids Solo. It is available for children between the ages of 4 and 11 who are traveling alone on Air France flights.

To book a Kids Solo ticket, you must complete an online form and provide the following information:

  • The child’s name, date of birth, and passport information
  • The child’s contact information, including the name and phone number of a parent or guardian
  • The flight information, including the departure and arrival airports, flight numbers, and dates of travel

Once you have booked a Kids Solo ticket, you will need to check in at the airport at least 2 hours before your flight. You will also need to bring the following documents:

  • The child’s passport
  • The child’s boarding pass
  • The completed Kids Solo form

At the airport, the child will be checked in by a Kids Solo attendant and escorted to the gate. The attendant will stay with the child until they board the plane and are seated with another adult passenger.

Air France Refund Request – Changed flights and Pregnancy

Within the month, AF had canceled my return flight, saying it was no longer operating. After much back and forth over customer service messenger and another canceled flight, we rescheduled our return leg for 13/4/2023.

Fast forward 2 months and my wife discovered she is now pregnant. As an anxious person, she would feel quite stressed to travel while pregnant, even within the first trimester. Particularly as Cuba is on a list of countries with a risk of Zika virus. We got a doctor’s note advising her not to travel due to these reasons.

After contacting AF customer service again, they refused to issue a refund (or a voucher) for our flight even though we had a medical note advising against travel. Is this allowed? I am currently processing a refund request but this would be lucky to refund £600 out of a ticket cost of over £2,000!

To me, this doesn’t feel right so I’m asking if there are any avenues I could also consider. I have consulted some other posts on this subreddit, and unfortunately, I do not have travel insurance. My credit card only covers insurance for accidents while abroad, a costly mistake to make. Is there anything we can do? Any and all advice is greatly appreciated.
